We have used fashion in the past to draw attention to technology and attract support for community initiatives! We'd like to  thank these design businesses! We understand that packing up and coming out to these locations is their investment in our community and we'd like to thank them!

We will expand or Fashion design , technical and business programs next year! We're also adding more of our live as well as "xtended" events!

My original plan was to end the community education aspect of our exploratory project at the close of 2009! However since FashioncampNy and subsequently with my stepping up to lead the Black media Professionals meetup, I have found my self inundated with request for assistance in adopting, adapting and integrating "this web thing"

I am able to reach and communicate but I have also discovered that somehow there is not much help that seems to reach or apply to the needs of this core creative class with a growing need to find a way to support themselves and their families! This event helps raise funds towards these projects!

before. How is this going to affect the way we dress, style, and live?

Fashion Camp is a two-day open conference bringing together the mainstream fashion community, the indie fashion community, and the next wave of wearable technologists to explore this question through workshops, presentations, gameplay, art, and collaboration.  The epicenter for this event is New York University's ITP program, located in downtown Manhattan.  Sessions may be open to virtual participation,

and others may take place entirely online, so you can join us no matter where you are.

Brooklyn Fashion Week is getting ready to launch our 2009-1010 Season. September, we'll support local designers participating  in  Fashion's Night Out, a festival of activities celebrating, retail, during New York Fashion Week and FashionCampNy. Starting October local designers will show Direct 2 Consumers as well as open up our D2T; Trade access component!

We support individual designer shows, as well as group events. As a Business oriented project we are interested in designers who are ready to sell direct to consumer or present concept or Ss2010 collections to trad! We cirate the evnt, and leave the audience critics and consumers as the ultimate judge as to who has "BKSTYLE" We seek professionals ready with quality collections, and innovative styles. We also have an incubator and Apprentice program to support designers! If You plan to present and sell in October events. You should already be on a quest for your design, sampling, production and presentation need
