2. Design Your Line In Brooklyn Fashion Week's 36-28-42 Fashion Challenge!

BROOKLYN FASHION WEEK

INVITES YOU TO A

SOCIAL DESIGN CHALLENGE

Design  36 Pieces in 28 Days and present them in 42!

Explore the "How To of" designing a solid product  Using  Social Media Tools & Apps when  designing or building a fashion line! We've started laying  down the framework and pulling components  together..We're going to design a real Line and the participants will have an opportunity to be part of the experience;  on various levels, from that of consumer to  vestd interest party and  participant! Too many  Young designers cannot afforst  teh technical support to make and grade patterns and are relying on silhouettes made for teh printed apparrel sector! This is also great for artist and  crafters who may not Know how to or be able to afford to build stronger looks that will sel!. iT give them an opportunity to  practice tehir art or craft and at the same time explore new markets!

It's crowdsourcing a line as such... But it really is a practical  experiment and workshop in Lean Manufacturing! We're also  looking to give young designers a chance to explore design and use tools they may  or may not be familiar with in  ways that will prepare them and  provide better product ranges!

Design Challenges really work well in jumstarting a line an d we have businesses today  who started witin our pasrst challenges! This is the first time we are opening it  up! Designers DIY's and others  can also follow along  independently  Particpants have till April 10th to sign up as official particpants! They can  follow along

A review and shop designer collections in the exhibit area! Doors open 6pm!

I'm impressed!
